The Villa built in the early 1900s in a dominant and reserved position is rightly considered the most beautiful villa in Valdarno. Set in a verdant context, in the heart of Florentine Chianti, it is just a few kilometers from the place chosen by Sting for his residence in Italy. The 700-square-meter Villa is spread over three floors plus an attic floor, surrounded by a perfectly manicured fenced garden, recently tastefully renovated, and currently used both as a residence and as an accommodation facility. In fact, inside there is a large master apartment, already arranged for the creation of other suites in case you want to increase the number of rooms for guests and divided as follows: Raised ground floor: large entrance hall with large marble staircase, living room, dining room with kitchen, living room, English-style bathroom and two bedrooms. First floor: two attic rooms with en-suite bathroom, directly connected to the tourist accommodation part and dedicated to it. In the remaining part of the villa, arranged on three floors are another 10 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, the reception rooms located on the ground floor, with the kitchen and laundry rooms. In the garden, a charming outbuilding with pergola houses a living room with bedroom and bathroom directly overlooking the 12×6-meter heated saltwater swimming pool, from which there is a splendid open view of the valley. Completing the property is the garden dotted with centuries-old pines and in which there are several areas equipped for outdoor dining and serving the pool, a convenient and large garage of 86 square meters and a fenced area for horses.
In the Valdarno Valley, numerous artifacts have been found that testify to the presence of human settlements since the Stone Age. Numerous peoples have inhabited the valley, including the Etruscans, Ligurians and Romans, thanks to the fertility and abundance of wildlife. On the Valdarno, we have more historical sources dating back to the Middle Ages, a time when Tuscany was one of the richest and most important areas in Europe. During the Middle Ages, the first circles of walls began to be built and spring up, and the towns assumed considerable size for the time. In the Late Middle Ages, in the age of the communes, the Valdarno was at the center of three major centers fighting each other: Arezzo, Florence and Siena. Consequently, the Valdarno was the scene of many clashes; the valley, besides being geographically strategic, was also important for food resources. After Florence’s victory, the valley was placed permanently under the rule of the Florentine Republic.
