This wonderful house is located in Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, a stunning medieval village which overlooks a dramatically beautiful valley and encircles the Castello dei Clavesana built in the 12th and 13th centuries. In 2007 Castelvecchio was selected as one of the “most beautiful villages in Italy” and awarded the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club. The village is lively with a special ambiance due to it’s mix of Italian and international residents, it’s small restaurants and bars, and it’s friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The location is fantastic as you can enjoy the peace and nature and the wonderful architecture while at the same time can easily arrive at famous beaches such as Laigueglia and Alassio which are all within a few minutes drive.
The house has been carefully renovated by it’s current owner to a very high standard with respect for all the historical features and using quality ecologically sensitive materials. Located in the centre of the village just below the castle in a small piazza, it is ideally situated within the town whilst providing enchanting views of the valley.
The entrance is independent and the property is distributed over three floors:
On the ground floor is a changing room with an adjoining cellar. On the first floor is the master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, a walk-in closet and a private bathroom. There is a second bedroom with bathroom, a laundry room, and a utility room;. On the second floor is the living area with wonderful views of the Castle. There is a kitchen, a living room with fireplace, a reading/tv room, bathroom, and a terrace with direct access to a large lawn and garden with flowers and trees.
