The property is located in Maremma, in the province of Grosseto, bordering the Brunello di Montalcino area, close to the Petriolo thermal baths, in a hilly area with an extension of about 80 hectares, of which 50 hectares are cultivated with vineyards and olive trees, the remaining with arable land and woods. There is a rural stone building dating back to 1500, in need of renovation and with a total area of 1,800 sq. m., arranged on three floors, including the attic, with a recent adjacent tool shed. There is also an approved construction project for cellar ex novo, the floor area of which would be 2,500 square meters. The vineyard with spurred cordon training planted new 5 to 9 years ago is roughly divided into: Sangiovese 14Ha- Cabernet Sauvignon 3Ha- Merlot 4Ha- Syrah 1.8Ha- Pinot Grigio 10Ha- Sauvignon Blanc 5Ha- Fermentino 5Ha- Chardonnay 2Ha. Grape production: year 2015 quintals 7,800, year 2016 quintals about 7,500. Before the new vineyard plantings were made, agronomic studies and major earthworks were carried out with reshuffling of the land in order to then derive homogeneous and quality crops. The Maremma is a vast area of Tuscany, a perfect microcosm stretching between the provinces of Livorno and Grosseto. Dante in the Divine Comedy identified its boundaries between “Cecina and Corneto” (Tarquinia). A unique feature of the Maremma is the variety of its territory: crystal-clear sea, long beaches or inaccessible cliffs, mountains covered with dense forests, lake and flat areas, green cultivated hills and natural spa areas. A timeless area with roots in ancient civilizations. Maremma is also an area rich in typical products to taste and savor with a good glass of wine. Sea, hills and mountains come together perfectly in typical dishes of this area such as acquacotta.
