The splendid Villa built around 1300 is located in the center of Toscolano Maderno, in the famous clock district and a few steps from lake Garda. The Villa, now called “Casa dei Limoni”, in ancient times is presumed to have been the home of merchants, as denoted by the diamond-shaped decorations on the walls and hidden stuccos. The property has been completely renovated with fine finishes such as ceilings with cherry wood beams, exposed river stone ornaments, wonderful handcrafted doors and triple glass and pickled wood window frames. Built-in kitchen with hand-painted Vietri tiles. Bathroom cladding with Pompeian Greek tiles. The floors were made with fine Spanish terracotta and parquet.
The villa is spread over several levels as well as a useful attic. The property has a covered area of about 200 square meters and is surrounded by a common area used as a parking area for several cars and motorbikes which is accessed from an (automatic) driveway. The box on the ground floor, with an automated tilting door, allows the parking of a small car. The property is composed as follows: on the ground floor there is a large entrance hall, with a garage, a rustic fireplace made up of rough stones and a bathroom. The presence of a cellar with a barrel ceiling for storing wine and oil is very useful.
Going up to the first floor via a sandblasted Botticino marble staircase, with rounded corners and wrought iron railing, wonderfully lit by a “Garda lemon house” style window, we find a large living room with a built-in eat-in kitchen, a fireplace with glass latch. On the first floor we find a second bathroom, with hand painted tiles and the two bedrooms with parquet flooring. In one of the two bedrooms, we find a large balcony with a view over the roofs of the historic center of Toscolano. It is possible to reach the attic with an internal iron staircase.
